- Income tax is charged in bands from 10% to 47%, plus a 3% surtax on very high income. Each band only applies to the part of your salary inside it.
- Credit points (₪242 each per month in 2026) are subtracted from the tax. New olim get extra points for 54 months (aliyah from 2022) or 42 months (before 2022).
- Your own pension deposit earns a 35% tax credit on up to 7% of a ₪9,700 salary.
- Bituach Leumi and health tax are 4.27% up to ₪7,703 a month and 12.17% on salary up to ₪51,910.
Questions
Why is my real payslip slightly different?
Payroll systems round, spread credits across the year and may include benefits in kind, a car, or a correction from an earlier month. Use this as a check, not a replacement for your tlush.
How many oleh credit points do I get?
For aliyah from 1 January 2022: 1 point in months 1–12, 3 in months 13–30, 2 in months 31–42 and 1 in months 43–54. Before 2022: 3, 2 and 1 point over 42 months.
Is this tax advice?
No. It is a general estimate to help you read your payslip. For your own filing, speak with a licensed tax adviser.
